Base64

Encode text to Base64 or decode Base64 strings back to plain text.

Features#

• Base64 Encode: Converts highlighted UTF-8 text into standard Base64 representation.
• Base64 Decode: Decodes Base64 data back to plain text. The decode action activates when the selection matches Base64 character patterns. It accepts both standard (+/) and URL-safe (-_) Base64, with or without = padding; the decoded bytes must be valid UTF-8 text, so binary data (e.g. images) reports an error instead of producing garbled output.
• Pure Local Execution: Operates instantly and offline using OpenClip's native JavaScriptCore runtime without transmitting data.

Usage#

1. Select any plain text or Base64 encoded string.
2. Trigger Base64 from the OpenClip popup bar or action palette.
3. Choose Base64 Encode or Base64 Decode to transform your selection.
